FAQ

How do I know if my nominee becomes a finalist?
Finalists are notified directly. Once nominations are reviewed, a public list of finalists will appear on our website and social channels.
Can multiple people jointly nominate someone?
Yes. Collaborative nominations are welcome. They’re submitted via one form, listing all co-nominators; the fact of multiple nominations may be noted to the judges.
Are reference letters or extra documents required?
No, but supporting materials like KPI summaries or testimonials (with a two-file upload limit) are strongly encouraged.
How long should each response be?
Each merit factor response is limited to 150 words and will be strictly enforced.
Who can I contact if I have questions not answered here?
Please reach out to angie@goodlawyer.ca with any questions or clarifications — we're happy to help!
Can I nominate someone for more than one award?
Absolutely. You may submit the same person or team in multiple categories—but ensure each nomination clearly aligns with the respective award category’s criteria.
Is there a minimum bar requirement for nominees?
Nominees should be actively practicing lawyers in Canada or of Canadian-based organizations to ensure professional relevance and eligibility.
Can I get feedback on why a nominee didn’t win?
Due to volume and confidentiality, feedback is not provided. The judges' decisions are final, based solely on merit factor scoring.
Can I make edits after submitting the nomination form?
No. Once submitted, changes can't be made. Please review your entries carefully before hitting “Submit”.
